1940 Federal Census shows Rudy Schlank (28 years old), living in Los Angeles, with his wife Ruth (30) and son Gary (1). Rudy's occupation is listed as "Auditor". It states that earlier (1935), Rudy and Ruth had been living in Phoenix, Arizona.
Notes from Ruth:
"Rosella...another of Rudy's cousins, maybe on the Schlank side? Rothholz??? Rosella married Al Budme, and they lived in L.A., he in restaurant business. Rudy and Rosella grew up like brother and sister together, very close."
