The wedding <was going to be held> in a small county park on the northern tip of the island: Kapa'a Beach Park.  Despite the name, there isn't really a beach there - it's a rocky coast.  If you want to see the park, there are pictures here and here.

DIRECTIONS to Kapa'a Beach Park

Take Highway 270 north from Kawaihae. Turn left at the road just past Mile Marker #16 to the beach parking area.
